Thanks, Melissa. I'm not a big Radiohead listener. I like them well enough but don't go out of my way to listen to them. I first listened to Thomas's version of 'Nude' and then told my husband about it. I told him, "If you didn't know this was Thomas you'd never guess it was him" (referring to the singing). I then played it for him and asked who he thought was singing. Since he's the big Radiohead fan he replied, "Radiohead." Much appreciation on your clearing this up for us :) Rochelle - -----Original Message----- From: owner-alloy@smoe.org [mailto:owner-alloy@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Merujo Sent: Saturday, April 19, 2008 10:50 PM To: alloy@smoe.org Subject: Re: Alloy: TMDR Remixes Radiohead On Sat, Apr 19, 2008 at 9:51 PM, Rochelle wrote: > > My husband (who is a huge Radiohead fan) and I both like Thomas's version. > Anyone know if that's Thomas singing or if he kept the vocals and just did > his own music? Either that, or Thomas is an astoundingly good mimic who's missing out on a career in animated voiceover work. ;) Melissa - -- "It is amazing how complete is the delusion that beauty is goodness." -- Leo Tolstoy ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Apr 2008 12:50:28 +0000 From: Subject: Re: Alloy: TMDR Remixes Radiohead I like the sparseness of the mix, unadorned by reverb- I think Thom yorke's vocal sounds really fragile this way. When I think of TMDR vocals - I find they are often stripped (mostly) bare also. It takes good singers to pull this off. I really like the mix. my 2 cents G >From: Merujo >Reply-To: alloy@smoe.org >To: alloy@smoe.org >Subject: Re: Alloy: TMDR Remixes Radiohead >Date: Sat, 19 Apr 2008 21:34:22 -0400 > > >On Sat, Apr 19, 2008 at 9:13 PM, James Quigley wrote: > > > I listened to the remix this afternoon... > > > > > Overall it's a good listen.
