I'm always pleased (ok, thrilled) when fans of the original artist like a cover. Before 'Weightless' I did a cover of the Smiths tune "Girlfriend in a Coma" (which led to some hilarious misunderstandings amongst my myspace friends by the way) and I immediately got a msg from a friend of Morrissey's saying "you've RUINED this song for me." I was very polite and said that "that wasn't by any means my intention." (My brother suggested I should have responded with "Mission accomplished!") So, especially from a discerning listener & Dolby fan (redundancy noted), your compliment means alot. And no, it was too tricky doing one Dolby cover, I couldn't possibly put myself on that tightrope again! However, word on the street is that there's another ALLOY member working on a cover of Budapest..... - -William Rochelle wrote: > William, > > Thanks for the heads up on this. There are some fun folks in the forum - if you have a few minutes, consider dropping by! Better turn the computer off now. We have wind gusts of 40 and 50 mph tonight. The windows are rattling like crazy.
