Kara Laidlaw" Subject: Re: Alloy: Autumn tour dates posted on TMDR's website! Merujo sure got my attention when she posted, :^) ***> 9/25-9/27 - CANADA (unconfirmed)*** Unconfirmed, I do understand. But I'll sure be hopin'...whaddaya think, there, CrackersGhastly? :^) And any other AlloyCanucks that I haven't met yet? :^) I just have to type a very small (yahoo). An unconfirmed (yahoo) as it were. It's like a little (yahoo) seed, which could grow into something much, much bigger. ;^) There's also a potential for an (ohmygawd) blossom too. Love and little sprouty green yahooie things, Kooky Kara! :^) p.s. I just have to write about this before I burst: I finally got down to my favorite classic-vinyl-LP store yesterday, 'cause I was in the neigborhood. And oooooooh, the air in that place smells *so* good. But anyway, I bought an original, pre-SBMWS, okay-condition copy of "TGAoW" (!!!) for $15 CDN, which is the price that the verrrrry nice store owner let me set, as it had just come in and hadn't been priced yet. Yes, he let me decide what I wanted to pay for it! What a great guy! He looked at my LP's and said, "Thomas Dolby--cool!" :^D But isn't "One of Our Submarines" supposed to be on "TGAoW"? 'Cause it *isn't* on this one... I'm kind of mystified! So I guess that the U.K., U.S. and Canadian releases of TGAoW are all different!?? And ohhhhh, there was this 1940's radio with big ol' knobs sitting on top of a huge stack of LP's. My Mom was with me, and she asked the guy about it. He said that that was the first sort of radio that a person could've just walked into a store and *bought*--before then, he said, people had to build radios from a kit. Needless to say, I could just imagine that old, 6" tall, 12" long {estimated} chocolate-brown radio, gutted, retrofitted for MIDI and up onstage with TMDR!!! :^D {I didn't think to ask if it was for sale, though.} My Mom is 80, and even she had never seen a radio like that before. So COOL!! Okay, that's enough out of me for now. ;^) ``````````````````````````````````````````` > From: Merujo > Date: 2007/06/29 Fri PM 01:09:45 CDT > To: alloy@smoe.org > Subject: Alloy: Autumn tour dates posted on TMDR's website! > > > The main page of TMDR's website has been updated with tour-y goodness > and cool snippets from the upcoming SxSW EP with the Jazz Mafia Horns! > > Here are the dates as posted to the forum: > > 09.11.07 LONDONDERRY, NH--TUPELO MUSIC HALL > 09.13.07 PHILADELPHIA, PA--WORLD CAFE LIVE > 09.14.07 AKRON, OH--TANGIER > 09.15.07 PITTSBURGH, PA--REX THEATRE > 09.16.07 NORTHAMPTON, MA--THE IRON HORSE > 09.17.07 NEW YORK CITY, NY--BB KINGS > 09.19.07 ANNAPOLIS.
