We are putting together a team of technical and artistic professionals who could perhaps assist us with this project. Knowing Alloy to be the hippest and savvyest group of folks around I thought I'd poll for interest. This would be part time work, freelance, and enacted sometime within the following 12 months or so. The grand reopening is slated for summer 2008. We need sound designer, a midi tech (could be the same person), an interactive designer or someone generally knowledgable about how we can adapt commercially available gear to become a repeatable demonstration of scientific principles (sound/light/ electricity), with a flair for visual spectacle. Sound like fun? It could be. I should let you also know that we play mostly Thomas Dolby music non-stop in our studios, though you can all probably work from home with this internet thingy so facilitating. Sorry if this breaks another rule of the group and y'all would rather just keep this non-work related. But I find the line between life/art and science blurring incessantly. Hope this finds you all well, Patrick McMillan Toxey/McMillan Design Associates 218 Washington San Antonio, TX 78204 (210) 225-7066 4608 Ramsgate Court Arlington, TX 76013 (817) 368-2750 925 Jackson Street Benicia, CA 94510 (Studio) fax 206-339-3394 http://www.tmdaexhibits.com Conservation Tip: Learn to do more without your car.
