The newly revamped TED website has a lot of great clips from talks and musical presentations. Enjoy this unique version of "La Vie en Rose" with Rachelle Garniez and TMDR: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/115 Also, for those who enjoyed the YouTube clip of TMDR accompanying the lovely Caroline Lavelle on "Farther than the Sun", the TED website offers a much higher quality clip: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/101 (And how cool is it that the IT guy who fixed her laptop also is a killer cellist?!?) Last, but absolutely not least is a nice clip of Eddie Reader, with TMDR, playing "Kiteflyer's Hill": http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/110 Man, I'd love to hear her perform live. The general site for the TED clips is: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/list/page/1 There are some brilliant minds there. I'm looking forward to watching all the clips eventually. Not quite the same as being there, surely, but a good glimpse into the event for all us groundlings. Cheers, Melissa http://merujo.blogspot.com - -- "We all have ability. For some reason the Amazon box had a big sticker on it that said Missent To Iceland. (I live in Chicago) The album sounds great, and the acoustic versions are interesting, they are complex and subtlety different from the originals, so if you like the songs they are worth getting. Somewhere Thomas tells the story of sitting with Paddy while he played all his songs on guitar for him, so he could chose witch ones to use the album. It's pretty cool to here what that may have sounded like. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-alloy@smoe.org [mailto:owner-alloy@smoe.org] On Behalf Of J. The one of Eddie Reader doing 'Kiteflyer's Hill' is beautiful. I've never heard it before and wouldn't have now had it not been for you.
