Now I'll > never hear whether there was a real Lorraine swallowed by a wide Brazilian > sky, or just what the hell Pulp Culture is all about. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I sort of thought about sending in [but I never did] a question worded something like, "If you were ever again in the mood to expand on the meaning of one of your songs' lyrics, would you consider starting off with a statement something like, 'Be aware: explanation of song lyrics follows. Read at the risk of having your bubble burst'? And have you ever considered that perhaps it is your own perception of the song's meaning that really counts, being as you are the songwriter?" But I never sent it--I felt it would be best to just leave the subject alone. Too, ummmmm, invasive, or something. It felt like I'd be pouring salt into an open wound. And I guess Thomas is a very private person--I don't imagine it's easy for him to open up like that. Of course I don't know, I'm just guessing. I don't pretend to know the man; I've never so much as met him. Gad, but I don't like writing about him behind his back, so I'll stop. No, Rochelle, I don't think it was your gentle, honest comment that seemed to cause him to 'shut down', so to speak. I don't think any of us can know what *really* happened to cause him to change his mind like that. I just keep hoping that he's off doing something really cool right now, like writing new music. :^D Too busy crafting amazing music to write blog entries or answer questions, I hope. :^) Merujo, I guess I missed that snotty comment about the 'burst bubble', wherever it was. I'm glad I did--such insensitivity would have made me physically ill. I'm sure that no one on this list would have made such a needlessly cruel comment, though. I'm hoping that, too. It would be awful if something one of us (from the forum, not this list) hurt him so much he's staying away. That being said, though, I can't believe how much time he has devoted to his blog. I don't follow other artist blogs, so can't say if he's unique, but he seems to really care about his followers, and I love how he let's us in on the process of whatever he's doing or has done. No slouch is that Dolby. :) Wish I could find that post/comment now, but I have a funny feeling the poster probably deleted from the forum shortly after posting. Eh, no biggie. Life goes on.
