I'm a big fan of Sondre Lerche. I saw him play a couple of years ago. He came out and met people after the show. He is a really cool nice kid, extremely friendly and easy going. I got his autograph, and somewhere someone has a picture of me and him on their cell phone that they never emailed me. That's really cool. Give his Faces Down album a listen, it is really good. - -Keith - -----Original Message----- From: owner-alloy@smoe.org [mailto:owner-alloy@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Elaine Sent: Thursday, February 01, 2007 10:33 AM To: alloy@smoe.org Subject: Re: Alloy: Dolby with a Scandahoovian Accent Yes! Thanks for the links! The author apparently doesn't know the Dolby/Prefab Sprout connection, but that's okay. I'd bet money that Sondre Lerche does. An audio stream link of his album is available at the bottom. Whoa! Not so fast. I had a friend in high school that worked for these folks: http://www.moller.com/ He's one hell of a smart guy. About 20 years ago he set up the computer network for the company and is a great drummer to boot. Just to show you that music and genius are often intertwined. P.S. Podcast is great. Budapest is now my new favorite TD tune. Greg Camp rocks! Jazz Mafia added so much intrigue to our faves. I've never heard this sucker, and, let me tell you, the short sample from "Airwaves" knocked my socks off. The only tragedy? When that sample ends, it's painful - you want to hear the rest. It's sort of a Thomas Hobbes' version of track listening: nasty, brutish, and short. ;) Available in the UK starting February 5th, February 20th as an import for the U.S. folks according to Amazon.com. Here's the Juno Records link to the CD info and track samples: http://www.juno.co.uk/products/254554-01.htm Cheers, Melissa http://merujo.blogspot.com - --------------------------------- Sucker-punch spam with award-winning protection.
