Some gender-bias thing...if you're female, and you're named after your mother, can you be called Junior in that case??!? Because you KNOW it'll be amazing--when it ever arrives. These are the sort of things I've been thinking about lately. Peace and philosophy {yeah, maybe I think too darn much!}, Jo [go ahead, riff on 'Jo' as much as ya want! This is an incredible find! What a great concert! Such energy. Something I've always loved about TMDR's dynamics is his ability to keep a song just below boiling point, kind of like the build before sexual ecstacy....always edging closer, a lot of heated passion going on, but slightly restrained....until, occasionally, it explodes in a whirl of bliss of course. It's a cool balancing act. How's that for a metaphor? I love the version of Commercial Breakup. The master having fun! And welcome back, you big tease, Kara Jo! I think your thoughts are shared by many of us.. but we've all been waiting a long time. Some of us even wondered if we'd EVER hear new music from Thomas.. but we all wait patiently. You just have to relax and be glad that we are actually going to hear new songs! It's been an amazing time.. and now the enjoyment will be enhanced! I'm sure you can hold out with rolls and butter for just a little longer! :-D Mark In a message dated 1/23/07 11:09:21 AM, mizmusic@mts.net writes: > > It seems to me that us waiting for TMDR to come out with new music is as > though > we're in a restaurant, waiting for a gourmet meal, and three-quarters of an > hour have gone by, and you're subsisting on rolls and butter... ;^) > > I LOVE rolls and butter, hee hee, but my question now is, should we wait for > Thomas' "gourmet musical dish"? Just a quick note to announce Alloy's youngest subscriber Alia who is now one day old! She is sat here on my right arm and I'm typing very slowly with the left! She's very sweet! I don't have any pics online, but UK people can text BABY to 80988 for a link to her WAP site! (I work in wireless so it seemed a good way to announce her to all the people I know!) The best bit (apart from the whole baby thing) was that I got to put together mammoth playlists for the birth. Airwaves made the early-stages-of-labour calm list and Hot Sauce the later upbeat list for the action! Thanks! I can't believe no one has mentioned the fact that finally, after 20 some years we get to hear "Marseilles" again! It really brought back memories of seeing him in Chicago on the Flat Earth tour! I haven't listened to all of it to hear if he introduces the band - is it really Clif on percussion? It was Justin Hildreth at the concert I saw. Congrats on the little one, Tim!
