An explanation would be appreciated, by me at least. I suppose he could've delayed it because of the loss of Michael Brecker...? Nope, Merujo, I'm not shooting the messenger in any way, shape or form--thank you for keeping us in the loop, and keep up the good work. :^) I was looking forward to this podcast, not because I have no life [which I *do*, of course], but because music is like oxygen to me, and now I have to hold my breath for a while longer, and I'm turning a bit blue. I feel let down. {Fancy that--my mood improved very suddenly, so I went back and inserted that second paragraph. My effervescence is returning--and I'm fervently hoping that I spelled 'effervescence' properly! ;^) But I'm still wondering, WTF?!?} Started off not peaceful at all, but am feeling a bit better now, Kara It's All About the Music. :^) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Jan 2007 14:27:26 -0600 From: "Kara R. Laidlaw" Subject: Alloy: Moved podcast... So how's TMDR treating his fans now, hmm? When somebody [TMDR] goes back on his word, it brings out the worst in me. Melissa, I didn't mean for you to e-mail TMDR about this, or anything. It's not such a big deal, it just seems kind of odd. I need to go eat some chocolate or something. Not trying to start an argument or anything - i certainly understand being disappointed - but i don't understand the logic of getting upset over something that's completely free? It's not like it's owed to any of us. Also - with this being technology related, i'm guessing the chances are pretty good it boils down to taking longer than initially perceived. I'm sure TMDR isn't sitting around trying to figure out ways to "go back on his word" to fans.... > From: mizmusic@mts.net> To: alloy@smoe.org> Subject: Alloy: Moved podcast...> Date: Wed, 17 Jan 2007 14:27:26 -0600> > > So how's TMDR treating his fans now, hmm?> > When somebody [TMDR] goes back on his word, it brings out the worst in me.> > Melissa, I didn't mean for you to e-mail TMDR about this, or anything. I think a little deep breathing might be in order, Kara. It is, in the end, a freebie podcast on his website. :) Delays happen, especially when you have a perfectionist like TMDR providing the output. (Plus the 8 million other projects he's got going on, a little breathing room post-tour, family, you name it...) It's only a couple of weeks. Won't kill us. And, honest, I think he's treating his fans pretty well, since he's doing these bits and bobs for us! Breathe, have some tea (try some red root from Africa), and the wait will be over soon. Think of it as tantric podcasting. Cheers, Melissa - --------------------------------- Don't be flakey. Get Yahoo!
