Got a little chill reading your e-mail, Melissa. I have only ever travelled to NOLA for musical reasons (TapeOpCon to be exact) and those experiences made a DEEP impression on me. It's almost a cliche that New Orleans is a musical mecca, but never underestimate the power of music in that town. I thought I understood Thomas' compulsion to draw inspiration from the bayou and Beausoleil, but I had no idea until I went there. Wow.
