But I gotta observe, with horror, #1, Thomas evidently competed in a battle of the 80's bands. #2, He lost the competition. #3, He lost to Vanilla Ice. Owwwwwwwch, what's up with *that*?!?!?!? Here's me, hoping desperately that the blogger mistook somebody else for our TMDR...also hoping that the competition was to raise money for a charity or something. Ohhhh, I don't know what to think, so I'll just stop typing now. Or soon, anyway. Ciao for now, and thank you, Merujo, for always finding neat pieces of information--by the way, I hope the sale of your beautiful posters brings in a BOATLOAD of money. I'm rather broke right now, otherwise I'd love to invest in one myself... Love and chronic confusion [mine!], Kara... > > http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=52086995&blogID=167949822 > > (Found via the wonders of Technorati, fyi...) > > Cheers, > > Melissa > http://merujo.blogspot.com It's All About the Music. :^) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2006 13:48:53 -0700 (PDT) From: Melissa Jordan Subject: Re: Alloy: Thomas played a couple of tunes at CTIA Wireless event this "Kara R. Kara, TMDR is a such mover and a shaker in the wireless industry with his mobile music/ringtone work. I would imagine he might do something like this as a fun lark, since it's likely he was attending the event anyway. (This is just a guess on my part.) But having seen him at a CTIA event a few years back, I know he's well-respected - and he's an engaging public speaker. If this blogger is correct, I hope Thomas had a fun time playing a couple of tunes in front of folks with whom he's probably usually networking and collaborating. :-) That's a heck of a way to improve the mood at a conference/schmoozefest. (Whenever I went, I always had a gaggle of Russians in tow, all eager to get bags and bags of freebies from the exhibit floors. It was usually a headache-inducing event, but sometimes with incredibly inspiring keynote speakers.) Cheers, Melissa http://merujo.blogspot.com - --------------------------------- How low will we go?
