Just wanted to make sure that, if you're not following the comments to TMDR's blog, you see his latest comment on the DVD thread: "The preliminary brelease dateb is last week of October. Thatbs when the DVD will be available to Forum members, the mailing list, and at concerts, with CD Baby doing the fulfilment. However itbs likely that mainstream distribution (retail, Amazon, iTunes etc) will not be until the New Year. The comments are very interesting! Itbs clearly a situation like the Purple Stamp where you if canbt please everybody, you gotta please yourself. I will just make the DVD content as good as I can, and as I fancy signing and numbering the first 1000 thatbs what itbs going to be!" Very cool news, folks! For anyone here who missed the spring tour, this will be a real treat. I don't think I'll be able to make any fall dates because of my eye treatments, so this will be such a pleasure to have and watch. I'm also really looking forward to TMDR's "soundtrack only" CD - that will be in frequent play on my iTunes at work. :-) How many of you so far will be able to make one of the autumn dates? I know we're still waiting to hear about many locations - I wonder when the full slate of dates will be announced? I keep hoping that a southern date might come close enough for me to drive to, but hey - I was lucky on the spring leg, so no complaints, whatever happens! I expect the Colorado Alloy Contingent will be there as well. It is strange that we got a one-off show scattered between two California shows. I wonder how that happened. Do you suppose that Thomas has plans to enjoy his birthday weekend in Colorado? It's a bit early in the season for him to enjoy any skiing or snowboarding, but the scenery will be nice. Speaking of birthdays, my 40th is the day before the show, so that concert will be icing on my cake, so to speak. - -Keith - -----Original Message----- From: owner-alloy@smoe.org [mailto:owner-alloy@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Melissa Jordan Sent: Wednesday, August 30, 2006 9:15 AM To: alloy@smoe.org Subject: Alloy: Preliminary release date for TMDR concert DVD Hi folks, Long time no write. But what a GREAT way to celebrate your 40th. :-) My fortieth was a total bust last year. So, I'm planning on turning 40 again this year. One more try... He's coming to play for your 40th! After all, you are the Sole Inhabitant, you will no longer be 39 and in need of some leeway, and if the show is recorded, the resultant album release could be titled "Forty-Vol. II" It all makes perfectly good sense if you think about it! (and BTW Thomas---if you're lurking---how 'bout a Phoenix date somewhere in the mix. I can recommend numerous excellent venues and direct you toward all the great stuff to do here!)
