I think I hold the record for most Alloy members met in person. If anyone could challenge me I guess it would be Lunesse. Even if she has met more, I think I have her beat if you add in the criteria: "and consumed beverages or diner with". Here is my list in order of appearance. I think I got everyone - let me know if we've met and I left you out: Me! Warren Gunther. I was the one who wrestled with your camera's video/ photo modes back in January, House 'O Blues. Great visit story! And thanks for the visualization photo... I, with the prime assistance of Ben Willett, had the chance to see Colin Hay saturday nite at the Stanwood-Camano Fair in Washington State. Excellent show at this tiny Agricultural/ Amusement park fairgrounds. Got some fun photos from the 5th row bench seats as well as an autograph and some chatter with Colin after the show. Having a bite of "funnel cake", also known as zeppole, with the drummer after the show was quite odd in a fun way. Funny how an outdoors stage area can have nothing more than a tent for the band before and after the show.... And to think I traveled all the way to L.A. to see Colin (as well as Sir Thomas) and there he winds up in my neck of the woods. The sound was, well, an outdoors Fair construct. A bit shrill at the high end but not due to the performers. Similar to the L.A. shows and quite wonderful, it was a beautiful night for outdoors music. - -Warren ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Aug 2006 05:09:23 -0700 From: John McJunkin Subject: Re: Alloy: In Today's Rocky Mountain News Wow Keith--you'll no longer be 39, but you still may need some leeway. The Boulder Theater is a nice venue - although I still was holding out for the Gothic, which is a mile from my house. I'm sure Beth and Mark will be glad he is playing Boulder this time though - much closer to their house. This is all of course rumors from the paper - nothing official that I've seen. - -Keith - -----Original Message----- From: owner-alloy@smoe.org [mailto:owner-alloy@smoe.org] On Behalf Of John McJunkin Sent: Tuesday, August 08, 2006 6:09 AM To: alloy@smoe.org Subject: Re: Alloy: In Today's Rocky Mountain News Wow Keith--you'll no longer be 39, but you still may need some leeway. Keith recently listed a list of tour dates that Thomas Dolby will be playing within the next few months. I noticed that one of the tour dates was on Sept 30, '06 and is at Farmingdale University, N.Y. Can you or any other alloy member confirm this date and provide more information about it? (such as price and location of concert) Farmingdale is about an hour from me and I might be able to attend. I am still familiar with the campus and curious to know what building he will be playing at. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Maybe finally, I can see Thomas live and meet some alloy members there as well. You should perhaps sign up for ticket alerts from ticketmaster and any likely promoters in that area to keep an eye out for ticket sale notices. - -Keith - -----Original Message----- From: Bluemeitz@cs.com To: alloy@smoe.org Sent: 8/8/06 10:58 AM Subject: Alloy: RE: upcoming Thomas Dolby tour dates Hi.
