All I get is an appalling page with unreadable red text that collides with a horrendous background tiled image.. yuck. Searched for hatas but found nothing. ??? Well, I was a guest at a really big SF convention in Long Island this weekend past. What an incredible experience that was too. I actually felt like I was a *real* celebrity instead of just an *internet* celebrity. I got to have breakfast with George Takei one morning and discovered he may very well be the sweetest man on the planet. If I ever become a billionaire I am going to hire him to stand beside my bed and read me bedtime stories until I fall asleep. The man has a voice like a warm soothing hug. The next morning I got to have breakfast with Ron Glass who could just as easily be named Ron Class because he carries himself with such effortless style and elegance. Enjoyed a late night bar conversation with Spider Robinson that ended with the receiving of a free, personalized autographed copy of Callahan's Crosstime Saloon. One of the highlights of the trip came when I was talking with photographer and historian John Coker and somehow the conversation turned our hero Thomas Dolby and it wasn't I who turned the conversation there too (which is a rarity anytime a conversation I'm in turns to talk of Thomas). Well, I told him Thomas is touring again and he was incredibly excited. We must have talked for a good 45 minutes about nothing but Thomas Dolby and his music. He and his wife had been to see the Aliens Ate My Buick tour. It was really great to get to meet with another Thomas Dolby fan. Hopefully Thomas will be able to swing a show somewhere near enough to Florida for him to attend. Be sure to cut-and-paste everything in the address line, without 'returns' or spaces if the next line wraps in your e-mail reader: http://mp3download.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=bandprofile.downloadSong&bsid=8384905&song_name=exclusivek&fid=43344273 But I don't think you'll like it. I lack the hate -nice open letter!-, but won't be playing this often, to put it mildly... I consider it a preparation for when my young boys (7, 6 and 2 now...) start choosing their own music. ;-) Tara, Anton. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V11 #83 ***************************
