That was neat to hear the promo snippet from the interview. I'll look forward to downloading the full interview. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Yes indeedy Chris, thank you muchly! I think Thomas shares a lot of people's frustrations with "Top-40 radio"--I don't even turn on my "ghetto blaster" [local name for a portable stereo thingy] these days unless it's to listen to a CD!!! Radio, shmadio. ;^) I am SO far beyond that now...Thomas is right [but of course!]--deejays have no say in the music that gets played, it's all programmed by some suit in some office who doesn't give a good gosh-darn about good music. I knew that like, years ago, and I just couldn't stand that whole format of, "play the same song six times a day". I need VARIETY, darnit!!! :^) Don't even mention the word "format" to me, I murmur darkly...I can't afford satellite radio at the moment, but there's a ton of great Internet Radio stations. :^) Okay, rant over!!! ;^) I gotta get into this Podcasting thing...! :^) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, > Coolness! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Absotootley!!! :^) Love and musical sophistication, Kara the Knut, terminally unable to settle for merely "adequate"... ;^) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Mar 2006 13:39:53 -0800 (PST) From: Elaine Subject: Alloy: Another L.A. area date Hey, Mark? Are these debates open to the public, Keith? DAYam, I wish I could be there!! I have the impression that Thomas, uh...Mr. Dolby Robertson, can be damn formidable when he gets going. I kinda sorta feel sorry for Mr. John Perry Barlow...poor guy will probably be verbally beheaded. Is anyone familiar with this Barlow fella? Has he got a chance in heck of coming out of that debate with even the merest shred of self-esteem left??!? I have a real fetish for intelligence...can ya tell?! Whether he's as sharp as our Mr. Robertson remains to be seen. Man, this is going to be one HELL of a debate!!! :^O So Mr. Baily, you are turned to the audience...now what?!?!? Writing in code now, are we...? ;^) Hoo, ha, huh?! Kooky Kara, who giggled tonight everytime the host of a TV show said "Europa" [scientists have found water on Mars, so that's what the segment was about.] {Oh man, we could start SUCH a drinking game around that!!! ;^) Doesn't have to be booze, ya know. ;^)} "Europa persists in its orbit..." [gulp] ;^) "Oh my country..." [hic!] ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Kara R.
