There is so much mail from Alloy these days that it's taking me ages to catch up. Reminds me of the very early days when some of us used to post three or four times every day. All it takes is a couple of gigs from Thomas to breathe new life into this old mailing list. Now then, chatting in the Dolby forum/Pub; I have to admit that I rarely visit that site. I was hoping it might capture the magic of the old Tap Room, but somehow it didn't really take off, possibly because there are so many other things to occupy us on the web these days. So, I posted there when I discovered that there actually WAS a live chat option but on the occasion that I discovered it, there was no one else there. These days we also have MSN, Yahoo Messenger, IRC, etc, etc. I went through a phaze of lots of live chat and ended up almost certifiable through trying to keep too many convos going simultaneously. But you never know, you might see me in there. Slarv PS. Yes, the spelling was fine. PPS This missive powered by Jethro Tull - 'For Michael Collins, Jeffrey and Me' from 'Benefit,' care of Last FM's Progressive Rock channel. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kara R. Wait until you see my ability to quote a song lyric for every occasion!!! Now including Mr. Robertson's marvellous lyrics, of course, which I wouldn't have known a few months ago. I've got this weird knack for memorizing song lyrics, and I LOVE Thomas' lyrics best of all!!!!! :^) > > Love and chatroom jollities,Kara! :^) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Feb 2006 20:56:02 -0000 From: "Bill Hargreaves" Subject: Re: Alloy: TD Song Covers Ha, I saw him perform this live at Manchester Academy last year. A damn good version. A damn good album, in fact. Slarv PS This tiny note powered by Kindred Spirits from Liquid Tension Experiment. A recent discovery, thanks to Last.fm and something I'm going to HAVE to buy real soon now. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paulo" To: Sent: Thursday, February 16, 2006 10:44 AM Subject: Re: Alloy: TD Song Covers > > There is also a cover of THE DEVIL IS AN ENGLISHMAN by STEVE HACKETT in his > album TO WATCH STORMS. > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Cory Stickel" > To: > Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 4:33 PM > Subject: RE: Alloy: TD Song Covers > > I found a cover of "Field Work" a few months ago.
