So he cuts a hole in the ceiling, takes a look, and pronounces that he'll work on the leak in the apartment upstairs. On the way out, he comments on "She Blinded Me With Science", which happened to be playing at the time, by exclaiming, "DISCO?!?!? Why are you playing disco? Don't you have any Led Zeppelin??!?!?" He was kidding, of course--heck of a sense of humour on that guy, quite the flirt--but I felt no need to defend Mr. Dolby; I figured, Lenny's loss. :^) Not that I don't like Zeppelin, but I'm still happily drowning in Dolby right now. :^) Ya know, for the first time in my life, I don't care what anyone else thinks about the music I love. If they don't realize that Mr. Dolby's a musical genius, I pity their lack of musical sophistication. ;^) So now I have this square hole in my ceiling...I suppose I'll have to get up there with the duct tape! Hmmm, silver or black...? ;^) Warm and fuzzy wishes for EXCELLENT holidays for everyone, Kara the New Kid, reporting from Winnipeg... ;^) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Dec 2005 22:08:58 -0000 (GMT) From: "Paul Baily" Subject: Re: Alloy: Dolby did disco??!?!? ;^) [not!] G'day Kara, Welcome aboard! > An amusing thing happened a little earlier: [...] > > Ya know, for the first time in my life, I don't care what anyone else > thinks about the music I love. Well done. > So now I have this square hole in my ceiling...I suppose I'll have to get > up there with the duct tape! Hmmm, silver or black...? ;^) Black. In fact the whole ceiling should be black. With a mirrorball. And coloured lights. Lots of coloured lights. And a dry ice machine. Two dry ice machines. I mean, hey if you're going to play /disco/... :-) > Warm and fuzzy wishes for EXCELLENT holidays for everyone, What the good lady said, Merry Christmas (happy festivus for the restivus) all! cheers, Paul. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V10 #97 ***************************
