Oh gracious, where do I begin? Begin at the beginning, and continue through to the end, I think is the best idea, so that's what I shall do. This long, convoluted saga begins when I was rather young, around 1983 or so, and I had just gotten eyeglasses, and I was mortified, but then I saw Mr. Dolby in *his* glasses, and I felt a heckuva lot better. I mean, there was this totally cool, sharp, massively cute, obviously highly intelligent guy, and he wore glasses too. Go ahead, say "awwwwwww...." now if you want. 8^) I loved his videos, too--I thought, "This guy never misses a trick!!!" So, damn, I was impressed. But at that time I was at the mercy of popular music, and couldn't afford to buy my own music, so I had only heard the two "hits" at that point. So around 1986, I found out somewhere that Mr. Dolby had done the entire soundtrack for "Howard the Duck", so I got an older person to take me to see it, and...confession...I liked it!!! So I guess that makes me Queen Nerd, huh? ;^) More recently, I've seen that on TV, and I just love the lyrics to "Don't Turn Away"--so sweet, and loving. In short, I love (almost) every Dolby song I've heard, especially "Screen Kiss", "NuVogue" and "Airwaves", and I've done a lot of catching up, and that's enough out of me for now!!!!!!! :^) Love and hot apple pie (I just baked one--want some, anyone? Virtual pie is calorie- and -fat free, you know), Kara/mizmusic :^) p.s. I've posted a few times on the Dolby Forum, so if you've seen those posts, yep, that's silly me. :^) It's All About the Music. :^) ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V10 #94 ***************************
