My bloody rental agency are currently trying to sting me for a couple of thousand dollars if I want to renew my rental contract for one more year (long story, crappy crooked agency,..due in December,...) so any xmas bonus I may get will probably be going south for the winter without me :-( If there was an east coast show, I might at least have had a chance, but unless I get very lucky, I'm probably out of the game. Needless to say, I'm utterly gutted & broken hearted. I was even gonna ask if Thomas wanted a free backing singer,... :-( Sniff. Money is a terible thing. I refuse to have anything to do with it if I can help it. > Needless to say, I'm utterly gutted & broken hearted. > I was even gonna ask if Thomas wanted a free backing > singer,... :-( How about asking him if he wants a paid backing singer. Failing that, a roadie? Might be the answer to your problems. I know a guy that got to see Killing Joke by roadieing for the band. Of course, he's in an institution now, but i'm sure Thomas would be easier to work for. - -- Peter ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 05 Dec 2005 07:40:53 -0500 From: "Andy Venables" Subject: Alloy: A small mention on BBC Radio 1 This morning on Chris Moyle's show.. our Fearless Leader was briefly mentioned in Dave's 'Tedious Link' "Thomas Dolby had a hit in 1984 with Hyperactive!" (one of a dozen or two facts loosely joined together in a very long-winded way to join a song from the day before to the one they're about to play at 9am) - I wonder if any other UK Alloyites heard it? Cheers, I doubt I'll post again before Crimbo, so Merry Christmas everybody :o) Andy - -- ___________________________________________________ Play 100s of games for FREE! http://games.mail.com/ ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V10 #87 ***************************
