[Sean Carolan Subject: Alloy: Remember That Web Radio Station? Folks, Often, when I get a notice that there's an interesting thing to check out on the web, I follow this process: 1. Read the mail and think, "Hm, that's cool. I should check that out" 2. Close the e-mail message. 3. Receive a ton of other e-mail messages. 4. Forget about the interesting thing I'd wanted to check out in the first place. So...here's a reminder about the web radio station I'm running. It's not Thomas 24x7 - heck, even Thomas wouldn't stay tuned to that for long - but I suspect there'll be something you like in each day's playlist (and something you don't, but don't worry, something you like will be along momentarily.) Besides, wouldn't it be nice if you were randomly listening to the radio and "Mulu, The Rain Forest" came on? (Yes, it happens.) How do you get there? Go here: http://www.altrok.com/streams.shtml And if you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask me for help. Especially if you get tired of pop-up advertising. (Hint: once you get the stream running through your MP3 player, you can pretty much start the stream without bothering with the website. But I didn't tell you that.) By the way, my show's now on two FM stations here in NJ: WRSU-FM 88.7 New Brunswick, NJ (Tuesdays, 6-8am Eastern) 90.5 The Night, Lincroft, NJ (Fridays, 10pm-12mid Eastern) Hope you didn't find this too spammy...just trying to expand the Dolby-phillic diaspora a bit... - -Sean ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V10 #9 **************************
