Her phone went off & the ringtone was "She Blinded Me With Science". My scene partner had never heard it before and so I got to hear Thomas and his music described to her in full, right in front of me (the girl who joined us, Dominique, is a huge fan!) So I got her all caught up on his more recent projects, which she hadn't known about. It was SO WONDERFUL to meet a complete stranger at random who loves Thomas so much. Then they made me play a "name that 80s tune" game on her cell phone, all of which I got right *blush* But I was so happy to hear Thomas' music coming up in conversation on campus, amongst the students. xx ~robin ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Dec 2004 13:50:58 -0500 From: "Robin" Subject: RE: Alloy: Best PS Album to give a non-english speaking musician? But I am the least computer-savvy or technologically/musically proficient of all the Alloy members. What I'd also really like is some new TMDR compositions to discuss. *listens to California* Nope, still nothing... Anyway I do hope you are all well these days. xx ~robin ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Dec 2004 12:19:20 -0700 From: "Keith Stansell" Subject: Re: Alloy: Best PS Album to give a non-english speaking musician? I guess the "newest" thing I've heard from Thomas is the promos for mythbusters with the revised lyrics "there busting myths with science". I take it that is a redo by Thomas. Makes sense - Thomas and those mythbusters guys are all in the San Francisco area. I'd like to know how that got arranged. Perhaps Thomas ran into Jamie at the local beret store there (:-). - -Keith ----- Original Message ----- From: Robin To: alloy@smoe.org Sent: Wednesday, December 08, 2004 11:50 AM Subject: RE: Alloy: Best PS Album to give a non-english speaking musician? Yes, I saw that too Keith (via the magic of Cable!! which I finally have again - thanks to student loans :) I almost dropped my coffee the very first time I saw/heard the commercial for that show. Crazed and confused, and with the adrenaline rush, at first I thought it was Thomas himself, running around busting myths. Thomas could absolutely bust myths on tv. He is so anti-b.s. Nice he at least has the theme song though! xx ~robin ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 08 Dec 2004 20:18:16 -0800 From: Jon Drukman Subject: Re: Alloy: Best PS Album to give a non-english speaking musician?
