["Crackers" Subject: Alloy: Pretend to be Thomas Dolby again. Wow... another Casio AZ-1 up for auction on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3704627609&category=47081 They certainly seem to be coming out of the woodwork since Thomas's went up for sale (not selling for anywhere near as much though). You know Thomas. You could have a pretty nice little side business going by buying these AZ-1s, then playing a little show with them (nothing fancy, could even just be birthday parties for your kids, just enough so you can say "played LIVE by Thomas Dolby"), autographing them and then selling them back on eBay again. Crackers P.S.: Just a little reminder to the Stony Brook New York alloyites that I'll be down in your neck of the woods March 27th to 28th. I've been invited to be a guest at a comic book/sci-fi/anime convention down there. http://iconsf.org/comics.html Feel free to drop by and say hi. Looks like another person has put a Casio AZ-1 up on eBay too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3705450932&category=38071 He's put his up at what PrePal lists as the current street value. Don't think he's likely to get much action on it since the only one I've ever seen sell for more than the PrePal list's value is the one that I got (and we all know it's history). I've only seen a few of these things come up on eBay before. I don't think it's co-incidence that a whole bunch of them suddenly find themselves up on eBay after Thomas's sold for so much above the street price. I suspect some people are cleaning out their attics and hoping that this is a sign that the AZ-1 is making a chic comeback.
