Kind of like the_Emeritus_Professor saga only relocated to Silicon Valley, Leipzig, Budapest, White City and Bedfordshire!! Go on - you know you want to... Well, Dolby is a legitimate surname. Probably the estate of some parishner named Thomas Dolby who died in the early 20th century had the altar made for their church. That would make a pretty bitching desk. Needs a little restoration work on the surface. Heck, that would make a pretty cool desk for Thomas himself. Not too many of us have desks dedicated to our own memory. " It's probably referring to the writer Thomas Dolby (1782-1856) who compiled the Shakespeare dictionary, among other things. It's a gorgeous desk, and with that brass plate on it..! I wish I had a couple thousand dollars to spend. xx ~robin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 Feb 2004 18:48:25 +0000 From: Peter Adams Subject: Re: Alloy: TMDR fanfic On Friday 06 Feb 2004 5:03 pm, Robin Thurlow wrote: > We already have Crackers' dream of Thomas abandoning civilization & going > of to live with the Sasquatch.. It's not doable. Who the hell could live with a Sasquatch... i mean. think of the hair you'd have to clean out of the shower every day? Do you think a creature that has lived in the forest alone all these years is going to clean out it's own hair clog? The relationship would fall apart after a week I guarantee it. - -- Peter ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V9 #18 **************************
