I'm pleased that you're moving to a better neighbourhood, Robin. A colleague of mine used to live in a similar kind of place in Liverpool and it got to the stage where she was scared to switch on her lights at night because the local idoits would target any lit windows with bricks and stones. I am bored. Bored, bored, BORED. And it's not as if I'm a big fan of Christmas or New Year, and as usual I had a quiet one, but somehow the prospect of going back to work filled me with more trepidation than usual. If only my lottery numbers would come up. Has anyone read 'The Jewel In The Crown'? There's a middle aged Indian guy who leaves his family to become a beggar; apparently it's not uncommon, or it didn't use to be. Well right now that's pretty much how I feel; that I could just walk away from the rat race and live a much more simple life. Sounds like a good idea, but I don't think I could really manage it. Don't worry, guys, I'm not having a mid-life crisis or anything, just thinking out loud. Slarvibarglhee that was. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robin Thurlow" To: Sent: Monday, January 05, 2004 7:26 PM Subject: RE: Alloy: holidays > > I hope everyone's holidays were peaceful.. as it turned out, I wasn't able > to check any email or do anything on the internet at all for the past two > weeks ( the horror!! ) But I did get a lot of other stuff done. > > My downstairs neighbor got a drum kit for christmas, thus prompting me to > get out of my already too-noisy & in a bad neighborhood apartment sooner > than I'd planned. Is anyone interested in reviving this project and providing pictures of their more unique TMDR items? I'll host them on my site and give credit to the provider. - -Russell http://www.tmdrfan.com/ ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V9 #2 *************************
