The record is "How Does It Feel" by The Koreans. The record is reviewed as being "actually quite good. Get a load of that chorus - it's pure Thomas Dolby!" I think as ultimate arbiters of all things Dolby as many of us as possible should download this track and give it a Dolby Purity Percentile rating. After all - "pure Thomas Dolby" is quite a claim! Anyone have any fileshare-type software to get hold of it? I would love to know what it's like? Sort of ironic that they can't/won/t ship a flight case. Crackers thanks for the info! Now get making music with that AZ-1 and let us hear it! - -Tom <<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>> Bob Dylan can't sing, either: "http://www.emeraldsoul.com" ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2003 08:45:32 -0500 From: "Crackers" Subject: Re: Alloy: not much, but . . . - ----- Original Message ----- From: "esoul" > Sort of ironic that they can't/won/t ship a flight case. Yeah, kind of like buying envelopes from a stationary supply company and finding out they won't mail them to you. I suspect it's more a case of they won't than they can't. I used to work as a systems engineer back in the 80s and we shipped out larger and heavier computer units than those flight cases, using UPS and FedEx no less. I would probably compare it to something more like New Order. - -Russ Dunn Tim (Products O2) wrote: >Hi all, > >Dolbyism is apparently alive and well according to this review of a new >single in our daily free paper Metro. Legally the Dolby AZ-1 is now mine. YES! Can't wait for this puppy to arrive. Anyone know how long something will take UPS ground to get from California to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada? Man, who would have ever guessed when I was a 16 year old kid listening to "She Blinded Me With Science" with the headphones on and being totally blown away by the effect of the drums moving back and forth through my head that one day I'd own one of Thomas's keyboards. I'll take pictures and post them on my site once I get it. You sound like a kid in a candy store.. and that is great to hear! I know you'll enjoy that keyboard! I think UPS generally takes about 3 days for ground service within the U.S. Don't really know what might happen at the border.. though. I'll look forward to your pics! Ciao for now.
