I was sad that I didn't get the extended version of "Science" with the extra synth drums at the end, and almost fell off my chair when I heard the bridge to Airwaves that I'd never heard before. It turns out that you and I had the cassette with the "7" version" of Airwaves and the "u.s. mix" of Science, while the CD has the original versions of Science + Airwaves. Check out Lazlo's discography for details. http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?dolby Erik > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Date: Fri, 7 Nov 2003 15:32:35 -0000 > From: "Dunn Tim (Products O2)" > Subject: Alloy: Airwaves > > Hi everyone, > > I have a question for you... > > I have just rebought TGAOW on CD, and listening back to it there is a middle > 8 on Airwaves that I don't remember "Controls enabled / the abandoned > something/ the copper cables..." I had big dust collector running, a noisy router in my hands and earplugs in my ears. The TV was on in the background, I couldn't really hear it, but then I noticed a familiar sound. That sounds the beginning of New Toy, I thought. Turn stuff off to see that, yes, Target is running Christmas commercials with New Toy. I believe it is the original Lene version. Cool. There must be a lot of Dolby fans working in ad agencies that have reached a position of power and can now decide what music to use in ads. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V8 #182 ***************************
