What does it sound like Paul? New Wave? Synth-pop? Does the band sound
anything like anything on Wireless?

Tim,
I also had this experience when I finally purchased the TGAOW CD for the
first time. I was sad that I didn't get the extended version of "Science"
with the extra synth drums at the end, and almost fell off my chair when I
heard the bridge to Airwaves that I'd never heard before. It turns out that
you and I had the cassette with the "7" version" of Airwaves and the "u.s.
mix" of Science, while the CD has the original versions of Science +
Airwaves. Check out Lazlo's discography for details.

Tonight I was in my workshop trying to build a table. I had big dust
collector running, a noisy router in my hands and earplugs in my ears. The
TV was on in the background, I couldn't really hear it, but then I noticed a
familiar sound. That sounds the beginning of New Toy, I thought. Turn stuff
off to see that, yes, Target is running Christmas commercials with New Toy.
I believe it is the original Lene version. Cool.
There must be a lot of Dolby fans working in ad agencies that have reached a
position of power and can now decide what music to use in ads.
