I have to admit I had a different take on it - I was rooting for Thomas to make "Nerd of the Year", because in my eyes, it meant he was important enough to be mentioned at all. Yeah, he was in "Nerd of the Year" on the '82 show and they used Science in the '83 show. As for Boy George, I think the current makeup job is due to his current Broadway show about the adventures of himself and another legendarily outrageous club rat in the early 80's. To me, he looks like he's been taking fashion tips from an episode of Night Gallery. It's not that VH-1 insulted. I just get tired of TD only being known for sbmws, but I suppose if it doesn't bother him, it shouldn't bother me. I took a picture of my TV and posted some shots of Boy here: http://www.qnet.com/~elaine/current/ crude, but effective enough to get the gist. They have a very eclectic sound track in the stores and played I Scare Myself while I was there. I've also heard Silk Pajamas play there before. - -Keith - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Elaine" To: Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 10:35 AM Subject: Re: Alloy: Quick TD mention > > Robyn & Keith are right; I'm probably just in a mood. During the 1985 show last night and they were talking about the movie "The Toy". The kid in the movie went on to be in porno movies later (they even showed cleverly edited bit of one). How embarrassing. I think it was the same kid who gets his tongue stuck to the flag pole in The Christmas Story movie. Kind of wish I didn't know that now - going to screw with my head when I see that Christmas Story movie again . - -Keith - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Elaine" To: Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 10:35 AM Subject: Re: Alloy: Quick TD mention > > Robyn & Keith are right; I'm probably just in a mood.
