Yeah, that's what most spammers say to justify this rubbish. - -- PRAEst76 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Jul 2003 12:42:12 -0700 From: "David Abbitt" Subject: RE: Alloy: MYDATELIVE! This is the first time I can recall in nearly ten years of alloy membership that I've seen an insult slung on our list. Was it worth it? I've seen quite a few in the few years I've been here, never seen your name before. Perhaps it's a different list? However I beg to differ with your opinion... it was commercial soliciting from a self-confessed lurker. I've seen these kinda mails on other groups too. People only try to separate it from spam by the fact that they are members and apparently feel part of the 'community'. That reminds me to put the phrase FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW! onto my spam filter. Bye. - -- PRAEst76 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Jul 2003 13:21:33 -0700 From: "David Abbitt" Subject: Alloy: PRAest Look me up, my image is on: http://www.tmdrfan.com/rthurlow/AlloyNamestoFaces.htm Eighth row down, far left. I'm sorry, and maybe you can clear this up for me; since when does lurking mean I'm not a member of the 'community'? If Alloy has rules governing its membership which limit 'members' to those who contribute regularly, I've never been familiarized with them. Please, enlighten me further. Oh, and while you're busy checking on those rules, how about picking up a dictionary and reading the definition of "pomposity". On one side, I've seen you participating in the group. On the other, in no way do I expect a message coming from this group to promote a dating service. A new person joining the group (and apparently this sort of thing happens all the time) is not likely to be as supportive of your new endeavor as those whom you're a bit more friendly with. They might even think the group is full of this sort of thing, and drop out. Then again, we've had posts about lots of other stuff, most notably Crackers' recent discussion of his lack of a need for anything to enhance his manhood. So "on topic" seems to be a bit hard to come by these days. So the answer is clear: it's all Thomas' fault. Need some new music here, stat! - -HubCity (Who lurks as well, and also runs a website that might come closer to "on topic", but still isn't, quite..) > > Look me up, my image is on: > > http://www.tmdrfan.com/rthurlow/AlloyNamestoFaces.htm > > Eighth row down, far left. > > I'm sorry, and maybe you can clear this up for me; since when does > lurking mean I'm not a member of the 'community'? Let's face it, if Thomas were producing more, as he was during my own very unproductive adolescence, I would still be producing less. Sincerely and seriously; I hate spammers. Not interested in being one, either. However, this is a community and I am a member of it. Lots of members have needed support in the past for various matters. Today this is something I need support from the community on. If Crackers were to form a support group for men with very large members, I'd join, and support him in that endeavor. I'm merely asking for the same amount of love and support in return. Simply having a large penis doesn't make it any easier to start a business.
