Someone else I know is irritated that Kate Bush isn't in the deck. Make that two someones. However, aside from the omissions of Lene and Kate, it's quite a nice deck. Almost makes me want to print 'em out and paste 'em on card stock. I wrote to the woman who created it (she is a writer in the Philly area, and her sister did the artwork for the cards) to pay my compliments. She wrote back & said she gets thousands of hits a week on the 80s Tarot page alone. it used to be part of something called "80s Cafe" that is no longer on the web.. I remember this from when I first got onto the internet about eight years ago, I think. It's nice to see work done by someone who's really well-versed in the actual bands who were making music in that decade (and also film and so on.. Edward Scissorhands for example, which is included as THE MOON which is a perfect placement.. though the film was in fact released in 1990 it's clearly a product of the 80s art world mentality) I would love to see the cards done as an exhibit!! maybe if I ask her and her sister nicely, I can feature them at my solo exhibition in a couple of years. This is turning out to be a multi-person show, anyway, since I want musicians and I'm asking my dancer friend Ariel if she'd consider doing a choreographed performance during that night as well. You're ALL invited of course!! :) Even if you don't like the artwork there's going to be free booze. xxx ~r Free online calendar with sync to Outlook(TM). ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V8 #93 **************************
