What on earth is the submarines >cd?? >Monya Sounds a lot like what my sister-in-law finished up with not too long ago. She's joining a nearby practice as a pediatrician this summer. The Submarines CD is a number of Euro remixes of "One of Our Submarines", including the version Thomas did for "Forty". It's available at www.cdbaby.com at a wildly affordable price ($15 US +shipping, as opposed to Amazon's $27.49 US as an "import"). Thomas was kind enough to not only provide them with autographed copies, but gave us advance notice so we had first shot at the low numbers, which is why you see people mentioning a number when they say they got it. The sleeve and disc have pictures of Thomas's uncle and his crew who went down with the sub. I'm seeing a definite family resemblance in the picture of his uncle. Does anyone know who the reaching woman (?) is in the picture under the disc? Oh, and since everyone's 'fessing up, I got #10. No haven't heard that one. We might be a bit delayed here on the Blur singles scene since Crazy Beats is just starting to get a bit more airplay (on MTV2 and the Alternative channel on my satellite dish). Don't know if the radio is playing it or not - never listen to them anymore. I would if we had something that sounded like BBC's 6 Music. I like Blur though - I should pick up their latest CD. I'll definitely keep I Scare Myself in mind when I listen to it. - -Keith - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2003 2:38 AM Subject: Alloy: Re: alloy-digest V8 #81 > > >Date: Mon, 19 May 2003 08:45:13 -0600 > >From: "Keith Stansell" > >Subject: Re: Alloy: Submarines CD > > >Are you referring to Blur's song Crazy Beats - I've heard it but never >made the connection.
