Oh yeah, I forgot to gloat about why I've been offline for a week. I got back from Cancun Mexico on Tuesday. My wife had a business trip down there so the family came along and we made a vacation out of it. So while all my fellow Canadians were dealing with -12 temps with a -20 windchill I was stretched out on the beach at a luxury, all inclusive resort eating steak and octopus and drinking beer. Then into the nice warm ocean. Maybe do a bit of kayaking. Maybe do a bit of swimming. All great fun. Saddly, all good things must come to an end and now I'm back home in the bitter Canadian freeze. But oh the memories. Took my son snorkeling for his first time. He was pretty amazed. It was his favorite part of the vacation. He wasn't too thrilled, though, when we ran into two baracuda that were as big as he was. I told him though that they are basically of the "we'll leave you alone if you leave us alone" variety of dangerous fish so he was cool with it after that. So much fun. So much fun. Thomas would have probably loved the windsurfing at some of the beaches we went to. Me, I'm a snorkeling fanatic. I am so going to miss not being able to have steak and octopus and squid for lunch every day. Just thought I'd get a gloat in before the tan wore off. As for the Australian alloyites who might be tempted to brag that they have nice warm weather all year round, I don't want to hear it. ~_^ Crackers Ghastly's Ghastly Comic http://ghastly.keenspace.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Jan 2003 10:46:38 -0800 From: "Crackers" Subject: Re: Alloy: Ideal Home - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Good" > The ideal places for Tom to stay if he visits the UK :-) > http://www.dolbyhotels.co.uk/ > 'til the next time, Oh man! They should hire Thomas to come work as the lounge performer. Thomas could arrange ultra-cheesie lounge versions of all his songs and grow a pencil thin mustache.
