Hi Graham,
You've probably gotten the information you need from the other people who've posted, but I wanted to jump in to clarify as well.. the Moth event is purely storytelling, and not actual music being played (except for the very good acoustic trio who played at intermissions & when the stories began to go too long!)
One thing about this that had me almost overwhelmed, was getting to be there firsthand with so many of Thomas' admirers approaching him to tell how much his work has meant in their lives. I have always loved to hear these stories from all our Alloy members, via the internet community... but to have the privilege of actually meeting so many admirers one-on-one is incredibly intense. I was extremely moved to witness that degree of sincere respect and love being shown to Thomas at that event. I was only too proud to be his guest that night.
Incidentally I have never been much of a self-portrait-photo taker under any circumstances, so the only real photographic record of that night is an accidental photo of our table full of empty glasses, which is actually a decent representation of the evening :) !!
xx

thanks for the heads-up everybody. i've plugged Trio into my DirecTiVo as
well... got "the moth" set for tonight. and they are re-running a show
that i thought deserved much better than it got: "Profit". one of those
cases where they pulled it after two or three shows, but there were more in
the can that never got shown.

looks like a pretty cool channel! (i also recommend "Action" which was a
brutally mean and funny show with Jay Mohr. another one that got pulled
early on, although FX did run all the filmed eps eventually.)

wow, my sister is friends with the Moldy Peaches and has occassionally
sung with them / toured Europe with them ! I thought it was just another
college garage band she was talking about. I'd love to get some
e-version (quicktime or similar) of this if someone decides to do
that... I love how the description gives accolades to TMDR but not
fabulously talented joe Jackson or Suzanne Vega!
