Thanks for letting me know. I am a dance music fan...
I have releases by two producers (William Michael Lewis and Laurin Rinder)
who work as a team. They do what you told: they release music under the
names of EL COCO, LE PAMPLEMOUSSE, SAINT TROPEZ, TUXEDO JUNCTION or
RINDER & LEWIS. But no matter the name, it is always them. They may change
the horn section musicians or the bass player, but it is always them. There
is also a distinction between each project : in spite of being those 2
sharks behind all those "fictitiuos" bands, they don't sound the same at
all. One song from their "solo" album RINDER AND LEWIS would not fit on an
EL COCO record. It is different stuff.
Thanks for explaining Jon

I forgot to say:
Rinder and Lewis are not in the dance music business anymore and since their
stuff is old, their albums are out of print by now. I think they recorded
around 35 under all those names...
A year ago DJ DIMITRI FROM PARIS realeased a dance compilation CD called
AFTER THE PLAYBOY MANSION PART TWO.
This double CD features a great Rinder And Lewis track called LUST.
Bye the way... I don't know if you guys are into dance music, but for those
who like it I highly recomend that CD. It has excelent tracks.
I remember THOMAS DOLBY once send us an e-mail for us to visit a website to
know more about a singer who had worked with him on Mind's Eye. The CD I
mentioned above has a track by her (TATA VEGA). It is a great 1979 disco
song with many instumental parts... It is mixed into a more modern song from
the 90's : Deep Sensation's CAN'T GIVE YOU UP... A great slice of house
music.
