It's very big amoungst the more technically inclined and creative of the anime fans and many conventions now have little contests. Thankfully the record companies and the anime companies themselves haven't stepped in and squashed it yet. Some of them are truly amazing pieces of editing and the editor will take great pains to search for anime frames where the mouth movements of the characters sync up to the vocals in the lyrics. At my local anime club they'll sometimes show AMVs done by members. The funniest one I saw was a edited collection of anime transexuals and transvestites assembled to the tune "Dude Looks Like A Lady". Very brilliant, creative stuff. Saddly I couldn't download any of the AMVs from that site as they've exhausted their monthly bandwidth. Anyone have a copy they could e-mail me? Incidently, you may remember not long ago we were talking about Michael Jackson's freakiness here. You might want to check out my "MP3 of the Week" right now. http://ghastly.keenspace.com/mp3.html And now we sit back and wait for the lawsuit. Crackers (Suck that bandwidth from hell!!!!) Oh say it ain't so Joe! I have several problems with this new cover: a) Being a Yankees fan I don't care for the Giants at all b) This opens up numerous possibilities to carve up TMDR's biggest hit for profit i.e. lawyers "Blinded By Clients" or royalty "Blinded By His Highness" c)Thomas won't do an '80's tour for fear of being cheesy but then does this? Of course, it doesn't matter what I think but I have to admit this was a shocker! Good heavens Miss Sakamoto!
