Another goodie, thanks Crackers! > If it's still screwed up just type an 8 at the end of the URL in the > box after > you click it and then send it again. Anyone know what I need to set to > stop it > from wrapping around like that? I'm sure more knowledgeable minds on this list will be able to give you an accurate (and correct :-) answer but my guess it's just the link being bitten by the legacy email line length wrap that Outlook is trying to apply (you'd think after all these years it'd know bet- never mind, my mistake.) Although Outlook (and Outlook Express?) promptly start thinking link the moment you type any line with any of the tags that look remotely like URLs or UNC paths and 'helpfully' making a nice shiny, hard to re-edit blue hyperlink out of them, that's just cosmetic. When it does the inevitable RTF/HTML to text conversion the text is still just hard-wrapped text, which is where I think it breaks. Several email clients do this 'toss it over the fence and it's SEP' thing, unfortunately. What seems to help in a lot of cases is if you enclose the URL in angle brackets, ie. <>. Most email clients I've taken for a spin around the block have the smarts to recognise a URL enclosed in these even if it spans multiple (like three or more) lines[1] hard wrap or not where they might break without. [1] - If a sending email client does 'helpful' tabby-type indents though all bets are off. Paul. I've not played the game but damn the movie's funny.
