Actually, I have two copies of the magazine cover version that were released on the Capitol label. The covers/labels/insert/etc are all identical, but the versions of Radio Silence are different (guitar vs synth). The version that I have with Thomas on the stage has the guitar version also. As for which was the UK and US release, I believe both the stage and magazine versions were released in US and UK, but the magazine version got much wider release since it has Science on it. - -Russ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Sep 2002 09:07:15 -0500 From: "Julie Sweeney" Subject: Alloy: definitely not Stairway to Heaven Perhaps magnum opus is the term you're looking for... ~Julie > > PRAEst76, I knew almost immediately after sending that email that "Requiem" > > was the wrong word to use. So then the slang for Gin and Tonic in finland is "tentacle"? That is very interesting to know. I'll have to work it into the strip sometime. > P.S. > This is my first day of unemployment, the same as very many of my friends > working in and around Sophia Antipolis (or 'Telecom valley') here in France. > The economic crisis has us hit hard - local branches here of Lucent, Nortel, > Cisco, Amadeus, Andersen, Hewlett-Packard etc. are all shedding people > (including my other half) faster than lighting even though they say the > worst of it is over,...hope things are getting better where you guys are. My wife is an accountant and at one time she was working for a big accounting firm auditing companies that were going through bankruptcies. It was a rather bizarre situation. The more the economy tanked, the better her job security. She found a lot of shaddy bankruptcies too. One time she had managed to find 13 million dollars cash that the owner of a "bankrupt" company had hidden from his creditors. I always thought they should give the auditors a percentage of any hidden assets they find, to encourage them to not only look harder but to prevent the owners from bribing them. I imagine that a few crooked auditors have, upon discovering such hidden assets made deals with the crooked CEOs to keep quiet about the discovery for a cut. Of course all anyone would have to do is look at our house to know that my wife was definetly one of the hounest auditors. *sigh* If only she were a little more corrupt I could be living the highlife in Brazil. Oh well. ^_^ Crackers (Enjoying Carnival from hell!!!!)
