I'm putting all my TMDR CDs onto my iTunes library today and I am unable to get my crappy cassette-recorded-from-my-VCR-playing-a-copy-of- Robin's-laserdisk-copy-of-the-video-collection version of "Fieldwork" to get to my computer. Is it available on CD anywhere? I know we're not supposed to download stuff but maybe if someone has an MP3 and the original is out of print we could bend the rules? :) ______________________________________________________________________ Dr. Barbara Cohen, lunatic bcohen@hawaii.edu Hawaii Institute of Geophysics & Planetology (808) 956-3901 (office) University of Hawaii at Manoa (808) 956-6322 (fax) Honolulu, HI 96822 http://www.higp.hawaii.edu/~bcohen/ ______________________________________________________________________ All that glitters is not gold, but at least it contains free electrons. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Aug 2002 21:17:05 +0100 From: PRAEst76 Subject: Re: Alloy: Fieldwork Barbara sed: > Hi! I'm sure if people here can't point you towards an easy source of a CD/12" we can sort you out with an mp3. (I always thought a decent Dolby compilation should have the long-lon version of this track on it.) - -- PRAEst76 http://www.cancellation.freeserve.co.uk/praest76/ np: The Weathermen - Old Friend Sam ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 02 Aug 2002 13:58:55 -0700 From: Jon Drukman Subject: Re: Alloy: Fieldwork At 01:17 PM 8/2/2002, PRAEst76 wrote: >Barbara sed: > > > Hi! No matter how hard they try to prevent it mp3 etc is here to stay. I'm sure something will be worked out eventually... I just hope someone comes up with an idea whereby artists get rewarded but the user doesn't have major draconian laws dumped on them. Some of the restrictions being banded about make me want to boycott the music biz in disgust if they should be implimented. That said I've always liked having a sleeve etc... I'd miss that if music went 100% digital. I think TMDR should put his deleted stuff on a subscription server. We'd pay a yearly fee to join and be able to get access to all the stuff on mp3. - -- PRAEst76 http://www.cancellation.freeserve.co.uk/praest76/ np: Revolting Cocks - Crackin' Up ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V7 #151 ***************************
