"We're puttin' the band back together..." Joe Jackson has gathered together his original band - Graham Maby, Gary Sanford and Dave Houghton - for a new album and a 25th anniversary tour. I can't wait. The album and tour won't be until spring next year, but lucky folks in the UK have a chance to hear them in warm up gigs in five cities (six, when London is announced) in September. God, I am so envious. News is available at www.joejackson.com. Elaine (howdy, chica!) and I both got to see Joe on his last tour - I got the first night here in DC, and I think Elaine saw the last night out in L.A. I had a freaking fantastic time (I think he was a smidge tired and a wee bit cranky by the time Elaine got to hear him perform.) If any of the UK contingent gets to go to one of the warm up gigs, please report in! Cheers, Melissa J. (Gotta go see The Penguin) - -- Melissa R. Jordan Hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies. The Shawshank Redemption ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V7 #146 ***************************
