The Group was actually called 'Local Heroes SW9' .It was basically Kevin Armstrongs band , the Lp I have is actually a shared album - one side known as 'how the west was one' by K Armstrong, the other side known as 'New Opium' by Local Heroes sw9. Recorded in 1981 on Oval records - Thomas is credited on keyboards for two tracks - 'hippy street' & 'Love is essential' - both pretty good songs , the second especially allows you to hear the keyboard skills. I think the band used to appear at the London 101 Club, where the early Thompson Twins used to appear , and also I believe Bruce Woolley & Camera Club - so poss a few connections were made . Kevin Armstrong also had a few singles , but not sure if Thomas appeared on them. Paul ( still suprisingly in a sunny Blackpool). - wont last. d-day tomorrow 7-30 am UK time -- England v Brazil in the world cup . - ----- Original Message ----- From: Paulo To: Sent: Thursday, June 20, 2002 11:51 AM Subject: Alloy: Paul > > Paul wrote: > > > > Also another Lp i might have forgotten to mention is the album by 'Local > > Heroes' this features Thomas on 2 tracks , they are written by kevin > > Armstrong, I got hold of this a few months ago. > > > > Hello Paul > This souns very interesting. At 10:26 AM 19/06/2002, you appeared to say: >Maybe we can all go in on the initial cast, and have a run of 100 made (or >however they do it) I'm already thinking of all the costumes I'll sew for >mine! I'd have to buy two, so the other could double as an Alton Brown action figure. ;) Robyn M @ Robyn Moore @ http://www.wiccans.net/robyn.html @ You knew the job was dangerous when you took it. - S.C. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V7 #119 ***************************
