Hyperactive - the action figures!!! Melissa, I love this! (I'm actually thinking about getting it... ) Now, if only some enterprising young toy company would put out a line of MTV Legends, like I've always dreamed. There *is* a company that will make custom portrait action figures, but they are very expensive as I recall. It would be so much fun to have an action set of all the characters from the SBMWS video, and the hospital dollhouse complete with all the contraptions (sold seperately!) xx ~R Sign-up for Video Highlights of 2002 FIFA World Cup ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Jun 2002 19:52:42 +0000 From: Peter Adams Subject: Re: Re: Alloy: New from Hasbro! Well Todd mcFarlanes company made the Metallica and Jerry Garcia action figures. Maybe if we write off to him and offer him our organs and firstborn he might make a hi-quality tmdr action figure. comeplete with accessories (ncluding trap-on Keyboard, Henry, snake... etc) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Jun 2002 13:33:26 -0700 (PDT) From: Robin Thurlow Subject: Re: Re: Alloy: New from Hasbro! Some of the more distinctive artists coming to mind are of course Thomas Dolby, as well as Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Thompson Twins, Prince (complete with purple motorcycle), and so on. I said I thought they would be very popular with collectors & fans alike. Even better, they could have little sound bite things to go with them... some way of connecting them with a computerised application of sound. The guy who answered my correspondence said he thought it was a good idea, but I haven't heard anything else nor seen anything in the news about a new line of figures. Maybe he was just trying to shut me up. Or maybe he was afraid I was going to try to ask for a percentage? Hell, I just want a TMDR doll! xx ~R whose Dracula and Predator action figures need a playmate :) Sign-up for Video Highlights of 2002 FIFA World Cup ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Jun 2002 17:52:24 -0700 From: "Crackers" Subject: Re: Alloy: New from Hasbro! Now there's a set of collectables that would not remain in their packaging in my house! Hehehe. It would just be cool to have my Thomas Dolby action figure battling my Ganondorf (from The Legend Of Zelda) action figure. If they make an Annie Lennox action figure too then my Thomas Dolby action figure will be one hell of a happy action figure. Crackers (Hey! They're anatomically correct from hell!!!!) Hey, they made the Mach 5 car (with Spridel and Chim-Chim in the trunk) to go with the Speed Racer figure (I have them all), so a Ferrari with Dolby figure could certainly be done! Errr, actually, no. I think not. I don't know how they'd package that one... or where they'd sell it...
