They were issued for us to put on our cars this year but were designed and made before the World Trade Center was attacked. We had our new ones on the table in the living room, still in their envelope, because we'd just received them, and at the time i was afraid to look at them in case the NYC skyline drawing showed the twin towers. By some stroke of pure luck it had been designed showing the skyline from the other end of Manhattan island. The new plates are still not on the car though.. it still has the style I sent you w/ the Statue of Liberty in the center (I actually preferred the Liberty design) Has anyone commented on the license plate in your office? It must be a real oddity in Australia! :) xxx ~R - -----Original Message----- From: owner-alloy@smoe.org [mailto:owner-alloy@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Paul Baily Heh! Story behind that is it's actually a really cool photo album with a ridgy-didge (aus. vern.: genuine) NY licence plate as the cover. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 Mar 2002 15:32:37 +1000 From: Paul Baily Subject: Re: Alloy: pic for today On Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at 01:12 am, Robin Thurlow wrote: > Has anyone commented on the license plate in your office? Mind you these are the same people who, after having my hair dyed much blonder than usual (natural colour has evolved to what could be described as dirty blonde if you were kind) would say something like 'There's something different about you... new shirt?' Oh well. P.
