I wish to thank you for this valuable info. To the average person, you would appear to be rambling about pithy details no one cares about... however! we are all scientists here, aren't we. Ok, well, at least I am particularly grateful for this info... especially since I've been working on house plans that incorporate much solar usage! Now I have the answers to the questions that have been sitting in the back of my mind for several months, but havn't bothered to get around to- the details needed so I can design the window heights and locations in respect to the eaves so that the sun shines a lot in my home in the winter and not at all in the summer. Ok, that last sentence was long! Anyway, Teresa and I have purchased (or, rather, are paying off a loan for...) a piece of land in Southern Colorado and we hope to build, perhaps a home for us as well as one to sell as an investment... and maybe others. We are sick and tired of the corporate world to an excess and I've been reading Mother Earth News (a magazine for the organic scientist), perhaps obsessively, for some time now. Either I've got some awesome plans for the future to live independent of the prisons of capitalism, or I'm going to get lost in the madness of a 'back to nature' fantasy! "Oh, hello, would you like some organic peppermint-ginkgo tea? I grew it myself. No? We're leaving? Ok. I need a jacket? Ok. That jacket? But the sleeves look a little long..." Our fair Robin sent it to me as a brilliant surprise recently. I wanted to keep it at the office as, unfortunately like I'm sure many others do, that's where I end up spending the majority of my waking hours. It helps me stay sane (or relatively less insane, depending on the day.) It's a perspective thing. P. This message powered by For Today off Painted Years/Netherworld Dancing Toys.
