Well done my friend... In tribute to you I will tell you that I have listened to "the guys always wrong" 3 times in 36 hours... (from our little soiree at La Luna in the summer) and Love it still! Dear Alloy.... Sorry that I have not been part of the list lately but it took me till just this past weekend to get a working computer again. I am still only working part time and playing alot of music. I have four gigs this week (wed. to Sat.) and all actually pay real money!! I am also in the middle of recording a CD that should be available by late summer! It's pretty diverse and will have some amazing musicians onit. The producer and engineer are the toppermost! as for dolby things... I keep going into record stores looking for Dolby albums and all I ever find is Aastronauts and Heretics (I own it) and AAMB (I own 2 copies of it) as well as Retrospectacle. Retro... is good but it doesn't have the "Album" quality that the 4 others have (IMHO that is). so I hope all are well.... Lissu... what's going on with your album?? Any developments?? Robin... thanks for all the news updates... I have benn watching close everyone else.... I have missed you... though I have been here perriferally.... peace all, Ian Ian Gifford http://www.iangifford.f2s.com <--- many links to my tunes Singer/Songwriter, Radio show host("For The Folk"), promoter, producer/engineer. Id love this , but can't even afford the initial asking price $17.99 Gulp !! never mind the postage back to the UK. But hey if one of my alloy friends gets the video , well thats almost as good as me getting it -- Does anyone believe the above ???? Best wishes all -- Paul ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 Mar 2002 08:39:34 -0800 (PST) From: Robin Thurlow Subject: Re: Alloy: thomas on video I think this is the one where Thomas' brace/suspender strap slips off his shoulder rather seductively (!!!) Of course, that *would* be the one thing I remember about this video :) xxxxx Robin T Try FREE Yahoo! Ah, but did you get mugged? I got mugged at knifepoint in Chatuchak. I was following the rules, keeping my money safely tucked away inside my shirt, and I got knocked down and ripped off, but good. I have a police report and some small, now healed scars as a souvenir. Bleech. Still love Thailand, but that was really, really ugly. And then some nutjob on the plane to Tokyo stabbed with a broken piece of rattan and yelled about it being "cocaine needles" (she looked like Imelda Marcos on acid - all purple silk and high hair and caked-on makeup.) At that point, with my hand bleeding (and the flight crew offered me a bottle of Absolut to clean the wound!!) I considered getting wasted in the Tokyo airport, but I didn't have any damn money left after the freaking mugging. Grrrr. Hope you and your family had a much safer time. - -- Melissa R.
