I came across a site about Drive-in theaters http://www.execpc.com/~andyhil/ On there they are trying to figure out what drive in theater is on the back of Aliens. I figure if there is anyplace to figure this bit of trivia this would be the place. :) So Thomas...was it a real drive in? or just a mock up? - -Russell Milliner milliner@pobox.com http://www.tmdrfan.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 17:48:26 -0500 From: Russell Milliner Subject: Alloy: TMDR as an english teacher? Here's another unusual link to TMDR. I found a website about a PBS television show called English Composition: Writing for an Audience which appears to have an episode with TMDR! http://englishcomposition.com/ - -Russ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 19:45:45 -0500 From: Russell Milliner Subject: Alloy: One more strange find Anyone ever heard of Polly Moller? She's an avante guard/celtic musician in the SF Bay Area. She did a cover of One of Our Submarines. You can hear a VERY short clip on her web site, and a different again VERY short clip on Amazon (linked from her ordering page). http://www.silverwheel.com/summerland.html Have fun all! - -Russell Milliner milliner@pobox.com http://www.tmdrfan.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 22:24:17 -0800 From: Robyn Moore Subject: Alloy: More Oddness Someone named Melissa Lefton (has anyone heard of her?) has done a gender-reversed version of Science for the Jimmy Neutron soundtrack. I haven't heard the whole thing, but there's a 45 second RealPlayer clip available at http://getmusic.mp3.com/microsites/jimmyneutron/. It's got a very dance-mix sort of feel to it, and doesn't seem too bad. I'd kind of like to hear the whole thing, but not enough to buy the soundtrack. Something about having to deal with a movie that was heavily hyped for 8-9 months before release is a big turn-off. ;) Robyn M ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V7 #3 *************************
