My cat Sunday has met my friend Lucy Lucy has met Michael Praed Michael Praed was in Dynasty Kathleen Beller was in Dynasty ...and so to Thomas Can anyone's pet beat that? Firstly of course my best wishes to all of you in the US after the events in September and of course the ongoing problems.I have caught up on the many messages sent between alloy members during that dreadful time & hope you and your family & friends are all well. Secondly i was sorry to not have access to the email for the 14th Oct for Thomas birthday,, it reminded me of when i sent him a birthday card in about 1982 via the then fan club -- I wonder if he got it -- i like to think hes still got it somewhere . Good grief , i wasnt expecting to receive 492 emails when I logged in -- ive scanned through as many as I can , but apologies to anyones i havent read , also welcome to any new members . I must admit - it was a relief that at least alloy hasnt changed -- still a lot of insane messages zipping across the world -- Babel fish translations of Thomas songs to Japanese, Italian, Spanish ---- well that just says it all. Im glad to be back. Best wishes Paul. P.S. Im still searching for the Fallout Club single --- Falling Years / Beat Boys but I wont give in.EVER !! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 01 Nov 2001 18:21:29 -0500 From: Robin Thurlow Subject: Re: Alloy: Pet degrees of Thomas Sally Allan wrote: > You are all doing far too well, so I'm starting a harder version - Pet > degrees of Thomas. Better yet... can anyone's pet be linked to Thomas' pet? (if he has one...!) My pet ferret Gomez is a little too passionately insane to have made any meaningful social connections, unfortunately. Last week he crawled up our friend's jeans & bit her on her leg. Then we put him in his cage where he moped in his hammock for hours. Bad manners. I keep telling him what a graceless lump of a ferret he is but he just won't listen... :) Thomas is much better off not being linked to little Gomez, not to mention, having far fewer fang marks on his ankles! xxxx Robin T ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Nov 2001 03:07:56 -0000 From: "Sally Allan" Subject: Re: Alloy: Pet degrees of Thomas > Are we really this desperate for entertainment? > > In holy God's name I pray not... Yes, we definitely are that desperate. We have no entertainment at all, and the only solution is for Thomas to make another album. Surely nobody here denies this? Melissa's been offline for a bit, running crazy in Anthraxland (otherwise known as Washington, DC), but we spoke online today and she sends her warmest salutations and thanks, also. She told me she got to see They Might Be Giants last night at the 9:30 Club, the lucky girl! Last I heard, her neighborhood postal facility is next in the line of closed facilities that have tested positive for anthrax contamination, but as of this writing it seems to have stopped there. Evidently her work address is facilitated by that original Brentwood postal facility, so they might undergo testing there, too. It must be surreal. Thankfully, though, our intrepid friend is managing to cope. As for the desert where I am, I was afforded a great early present on Tuesday, when it rained for the first time since last March. We got 0.18 inches. :) Hope you all are well. Thanks Paul and Robin! DAbbitt it's so nice to see you posting again. xox Elaine - -- Elaine Linstruth Palmdale, CA, USA "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -- Benjamin Franklin, 1759 "The American people must be willing to give up a degree of personal privacy in exchange for safety and security." -- FBI Director Louis Freeh, 1993 ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V6 #287 ***************************
