Oh, Robin. I feel your pain. I absolutely loathe the talkers and the cell phone people. I'm not one of those lucky people who can tune out the audience interference. I don't know if it's gotten this bad in other countries (I doubt it), but here, it's hard to see a movie without people taking calls or just talking like they're at home in front of the tv. I've started going to movies on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. - ish. First, it's breakfast at Perkins or IHOP, and then the movie. Since the morons who talk and phone through movies don't seem to be up at that hour, it's a blissful experience (not a peep during Planet of the Apes yesterday.) I've never heard of any TB epidemic in WWII! I really appreciate your taking the trouble to answer in spite of the pain you're in. > It wasn't feasible to defend Jersey, and we ended > up occupied by the Germans. This was mentioned in the film. I hadn't known about it & it surprised me. As you will read in the reviews (and this gives nothing away about the story) the woman played by Nicole Kidman is very nervous and overly-careful about the house. Once she begins hearing strange things, she begins to believe there may be people hiding inside the house. She says in all the time the Nazis occupied the island, not one of them ever set foot inside the house.. and she wasn't about to tolerate any intruders now. We usually go to the very latest showings, and don't normally run into this stuff very much. But last night we were taking Dave's dad and stepmother out and they preferred an earlier showing. I didn't realise it would be such a madhouse! Dave and I are planning to see it again at the latest showing on a weeknight (since we never get to bed before 2am anyway..) and hopefully avoid the talkative, cell-phone/pager crowd. Definitely go to see this movie though!! It's one of my favorites ever. xxxx Robin T ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Aug 2001 13:25:10 +1000 From: Paul Baily Subject: Re: Alloy: MIDI data for TMDR ? > I think there are some fan-sequenced Dolby MIDI files out there. It was among a fistful of MIDI files I found a long while back while on a hunt for good MIDI starting points/learning material. P.
