Trevor sent me the song so I could give it a listen and determine if the language is Italiano. The only difficulty I'm having is actually understanding the lyrics.. because the voice is so enveloped by the instruments. I believe it is Italian.. since I do catch a word or two.. then it slips back into the mix where I can't decipher it. However.. ravivar is not a typical Italian word.. so there may be some dialect thrown in there or just some slang that I am not aware of. I think we may need a bit of help from Mr. Dolby Robertson himself on this one.. Sorry Trevor.. thanks for the effort though! Ciao for now.. The girlfriend is legal secretary Amy Dolby (26) "It was as though someone was playing a cruel joke on us." What's all this about > >eating > > > 'bulbs'? There was a show I watched in Britain, called "Bizarre Ways To Die". One of the cases was an elderly gentleman who'd gone shopping for onions and ended up buying flower bulbs (can't remember if they were daffodil or tulip) but unfortunately he didn't realise his mistake... he fried them up and ate them, and was fatally poisoned. There were some other really weird cases but all this talk of 'bulbs' keeps reminding me of this one... xxx Robin T ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Jul 2001 22:50:46 -0400 From: "Robin Thurlow" Subject: Alloy: votes needed! I've just been clicking through a silly site called "Am I Annoying or Not", a take-off on the "Am I Hot or Not"/"Am I Goth or Not" etc sites (can you tell that I'm **really** procrastinating tonight) Much to my utter surprise, I came across the following one: http://www.amiannoyingornot.com/view.asp?ID=1276 You must go there and vote 'no'.. because it's Kathleen, who is obviously an impressive and very cool person, and not annoying at all! And what's wrong with having a pointy shoe fetish... especially when those shoes in question are Thomas' . I have a pointy shoe fetish too, and hell, *I'm* not annoying! :) xxxxx Robin T ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Jul 2001 22:59:43 -0400 From: Merujo Subject: Re: Alloy: votes needed! I had fake leopard skin topped, black leather pointy boots when I lived in London, and I adored them. A pointy shoe fetish is a good fetish. (As long as yer not crushing small animals under 'em!) Why on earth would anyone find Kathleen Beller annoying? Hell, I'm annoying. I should know! :-) A tattoo of the letter "I", huh? Interesting. I just got some fonts in the mail today from P22, my favorite font source (especially since they fulfill my need for Arts & Crafts stuff.) I got a Frank Lloyd Wright font and a Dard Hunter font, and, while I'm too much of a wimp to get a tattoo, there are some characters in the font sets that I think would make AWESOME tattoos! - - Melissa, Bitchy wimp ;-) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Jul 2001 23:40:50 -0400 From: "Robin Thurlow" Subject: Re: Alloy: votes needed! In reading some of the other entries, it seems the person/people putting this site together simply don't care for tattoos in general. Anyone with tattoos has that fact listed under the 'annoying' header. I think her having just the "I" tattoo is really cool and individualistic. Not your usual sort of tattoo - I like that. xxx ~R ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V6 #197 ***************************
