"Therapy/Growth" and "Ravivar Fiore" are the only ones that come to mind, strictly speaking, i.e. the ones listed under just Thomas Dolby. The only other unavailable song I can think of is one called "Marseilles" which he performed on the Flat Earth tour. Whatever happened to that? Wow, although Ravivar Fiore was released on the back of the CD single My Brain Is Like A Sieve, Marseilles is definitely one I hadn't heard of!!! I was wondering when I read this, about exactly how many Dolby tracks never made it to CD? These are the ones I can think of for starters. Please feel free to add to the list; I wonder if Thomas would ever contemplate releasing these someday on CD? 1. Marseilles 2. Therapy Growth 3. Googooplexus/Cube Creature Caviar 4. Jungle Line 5. Airhead Dub 6. Radio Silence (guitar version) 7. New Toy 8. Urban Tribal 9. Magic's Wand 10. The Wreck of The Fairchild 11. Don't Turn Away (TMDR Vocal) 12. Samson & Delilah 13. Howard the Duck. I listened to the Real Audio stream and found that it is now read by a woman and not in the dulcet tones of John Marsh. Still, I found it quite illuminating, because I was unaware that most of the place names that are heard in "Windpower" are actually the names of regions of the ocean all around Great Britain and down the Atlantic coast to Portugal. You British Alloy members can now point your fingers and laugh, "Don't you bloody Americans know *anything*???" They probably learn these names in school the way we learn state capitols over here. Anyway, I took a stab at transcribing Mr. Marsh's words as best as I'm able. There are still certain place names I can't quite make out, so I'll leave it to the reader to determine those bits. Go to the BBC website (or http://www.met-office.gov.uk/datafiles/offshore.html), bring up the map, and follow along! BTW, this is from the extended mix of "Windpower", and I tried to re-create the same all-caps teletype form of the forecast. The 30th of November ("30 November") was a Monday in 1981. "Windpower" was recorded in October 1981 and mixed in December 1981. It would be interesting to know if this was part of the actual forecast broadcast that day. I'm still not sure what he is talking about, I assume the 3 or 4 reference is to wave heights.
