Correct. It promptly plummeted down after her appearance on TOTPs. I don't think many records have done that. - -- 'til the next time, Chris (Room 1 - Blue Hotel) - --- Blue Hotel's HOME on the Web - http://www.bluehotel.co.uk News - Reviews - Discography - Biography - Pix - Lyrics - Links - more ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Jul 2001 18:55:54 +0100 From: Chris Good Subject: Re: Alloy: Records currently playing Vespertine - Bjork Shadowhead - Marc Bolan & T. I have been listening to my own mix-tapes though... well mix-CDs actually. Don't you just love that the price of a blank CD is less than the price of a quality blank cassette? Let's see things I've been listening to in my mixes? Some Tom Waits, a lot of a japanese band from the late 70s/early 80s called "Plastics". I've been listening to some Shounen Knife quite a bit lately. I always get a kick out of that band because always sounds like they're saying Shounen Ai Fu (boy-love fashion). I've been listening to a lot of anime music and my kids get a kick out of it when I sing along to the themesong of Gatchaman. Dare da! Dare da! Dare da! Sora no kanata ni odoru kage Shiroi tsubasa no Gatchaman!!! Hmmm what else. Some Tom Lehrer, some Wendy Carlos, and a bit from some lesbian artist I stumbled upon called "Tracy And The Plastics", the plastics I assume refering to her electonic bandmates and old DR-550 drum machine and a Akai S-612 sampler. She gets an amazing sound out of such sparce primative instruments. Other than that I've only been listening to stuff I'm working on in one way or another. I guess the last regular album I listened to (and bought) was XTC's "Nonsuch".
