Nil's touring? I read in the paper that they'll be in Brisbane this Friday. I know I should go but I'm doing the social hermit thing these days... maybe I'll have a go at psyching myself into it. Actually reminds me of a morning commute this week when I was almost cacking myself laughing. The indie station I was listening to had, in honour of Johnny Marr hitting the country, dug up a quite unique cover of Bigmouth Strikes Again - one of my fave Smiths tracks (given that I always talk too much maybe?) Sung in Ukrainian with traditional Ukrainian instruments - balac- bacalla? those out of proportion guitar thingies (lawdy I'm /so/ having a blonde day...). As well as being really funny, it was a brilliant cover of the song having much of the edge of the original. Okay, so there's edge, and then there's Morrissey/Marr edge, but still. to that end... Sheeesh. But > like I said, here goes... LOL! I'm sorry, shouldn't laugh, but oh the irony! Safe trip Robin & Dave, we'll talk with you soon when you're back on Terra Amercana (hey give me a break, I never did latin; physics & maths were more my thing.) I'm sure the ferrets are just gagging to have a go a knicking the trinkets you've bought on your travels! Paul. (why ferrets are banned in this state is beyond me. They're such intelligent, cool animals! Mind you we are talking about the same state that by consensus decided against daylight savings because it would fade the curtains and confuse the cows...)
